Much of our work takes place at Reconsider’s home, a center of learning and community situated in the Hudson Valley, New York. With over 62-acres of beauty and calm, surrounded by 30,000 acres of state forest, its atmosphere of peace and tranquility makes it the perfect place for retreat, conversation, listening, sharing and transformation.

We acknowledge the land on which we sit as the original homeland of the Lenape people and many other people before them, and recognize the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory. We recognize their continuing connection to the land and thank them for protecting these woods and forests since time immemorial. We honor them and pay our respects by envisioning a new way of living with all beings.

With an extraordinary setting in the middle of 30,000 acres of protected land, yet still conveniently close to New York City, the farm is a great place to bring together community. Whether you’re looking for a corporate retreat, a wedding, family reunion, or other gathering Reconsider could be a great place to host it.  We do a limited number of rentals each year. If you’re interested in learning more, please let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll be happy to explore what is possible.

895 Lundy Road, Wawarsing, NY 12489 view on google maps

When you turn onto Lundy Road from Rt 209, it’s 4.3 miles up that road (Check your odometer). Keep the river on your left and stay on the main gravel road. Here are some mile markers to help guide you along the way!

• 1.2 miles - there is a bridge on the left that continues straight.
• 2.0 miles road splits, bear to the left.
• 2.7 miles - there will be a dilapidated stone building on the left.
• 4.3 miles you have made it! Take that left over the bridge with private bridge sign.
• Turn here and head behind the Main House to park in the parking area.

Once you turn onto Lundy Road you will have NO reception. It will take 15 minutes to drive up the road to the bridge. It seems like you are driving into the abyss, but you are heading the right way!
The landline at the farm is 845.647.4607 but again you will lose reception but trust you are almost there!
